The events that took place in recent days are considered by us as a big violation of the armistice agreement and violence of the aims to reach the peace through political cooperation.
We think that further excalation is not acceptable. We call on the all conflicting sides to show restraint, refuse to use arm force and take urgent steps towards the stabilization of the situation" - is said in the statement, which was published on the web-site of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RF.
The State department of the USA also made a statement regarding the increased tension in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. "Antagonism cannot have a military solution", said the speaker of the State Department Mary Harf.
Russian Federation, USA and France are intermediary members of the Minsk group which is working on the stabilization of Nagorno-Karabakh situation.
During the night of August 1st and the early morning of August 2nd in the north-eastern part of the contact line of Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflicting forces a diversion was organized by the enemy. It led to deaths of 5 Azerbaijani soldiers and 3 of them got wounded, according to the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. During the heated collision an Armenian soldier of DA, Zorik Zhirayr Gevorgyan, was killed. On the other hand, Azerbaijani side announced about the lose of 4 soldiers. The Azerbaijani information agency APA, referring to the Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense, is reporting that on August 1st and August 2nd four of their soldiers was killed when "trying to push back the diversion organized by the Armenian side in Aghdam".
During the past few weeks the situation is heated along the whole Armenian-Azerbaijani border. On July 31st the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic announced about preventing the Azerbaijani side's diversion, which cost two lives. Azerbaijani side announced about the lose of 11 soldiers.
